Good Deed: #145 Give Sadaqah for Allah's pleasure

1000 Good Deeds Dilemma: You work for a company. They want to take you and your co workers to build houses in a poor community under a banner of a certain organisation. When you visit the website you notice they strongly promote a different religion. Do you go and build the house?

2:261 (Y. Ali) The parable of those who spend their substance in the way of Allah is that of a grain of corn: it groweth seven ears, and each ear Hath a hundred grains. Allah giveth manifold increase to whom He pleaseth: And Allah careth for all and He knoweth all things

2:195 (Y. Ali) And spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your own hands contribute to (your) destruction; but do good; for Allah loveth those who do good.

2:215 (Y. Ali) They ask thee what they should spend (In charity). Say: Whatever ye spend that is good, is for parents and kindred and orphans and those in want and for wayfarers. And whatever ye do that is good, -(Allah) knoweth it well.

2:265 (Y. Ali) And the likeness of those who spend their substance, seeking to please Allah and to strengthen their souls, is as a garden, high and fertile: heavy rain falls on it but makes it yield a double increase of harvest, and if it receives not Heavy rain, light moisture sufficeth it. Allah seeth well whatever ye do.

2:270 (Y. Ali) And whatever ye spend in charity or devotion, be sure Allah knows it all. But the wrong-doers have no helpers.

2:272 (Y. Ali) It is not required of thee (O Messenger., to set them on the right path, but Allah sets on the right path whom He pleaseth. Whatever of good ye give benefits your own souls, and ye shall only do so seeking the “Face” of Allah. Whatever good ye give, shall be rendered back to you, and ye shall not Be dealt with unjustly.

30:39 (Y. Ali) That which ye lay out for increase through the property of (other) people, will have no increase with Allah. but that which ye lay out for charity, seeking the Countenance of Allah, (will increase): it is these who will get a recompense multiplied.
