Good Deed: #123 Remember Allah after salaah

20:14 (Y. Ali) “Verily, I am Allah. There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise.

2:152 (Y. Ali) Then do ye remember Me; I will remember you. Be grateful to Me, and reject not Faith.

3:191 (Y. Ali) Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (With the thought): “Our Lord! not for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire.

Hadith Qudsi: Allah says: My servant continues to draw nearer to Me with additional devotions until I love him. When I love him, I become the hearing with which he hears, the sight with which he sees, the hand with which he strikes and the foot with which he walks. Were he to ask for something I would surely give it, and were he to ask for refuge, I would surely grant him refuge. (Al- Bukhari.)

It has been reported from Aisha (Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) used to sit as long at it takes to say Allahumma antassalamu wa minkas salam wa ilayka ya’udu al-salam tabarakta ya zal jalali wal ikram’ then he used to stand up to perform his sunnah.’
(This hadith has been reported in Muslim,Abu Dawud, and Tirmidhi)

It has been reported by Thawban that when the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) turned away after completing the salah, he used to say, Astaghfirullah, three times and also say Allahumma antassalamu wa minkas salam tabarakta ya zal jalali wal ikram’
(This hadith is reported in Muslim)

Action Plan

(i) ‘I ask Allaah for forgiveness.’ (three times)

(ii) ‘O Allaah, You are As-Salaam and from You is all peace, blessed are You, O Possessor of majesty and honour.’

‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, alone without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent. O Allaah, none can prevent what You have willed to bestow and none can bestow what You have willed to prevent, and no wealth or majesty can benefit anyone, as from You is all wealth and majesty.
Dua in Arabic

‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent. There is no might nor power except with Allaah, none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah and we worship none except Him. For Him is all favour, grace, and glorious praise. None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah and we are sincere in faith and devotion to Him although the disbelievers detest it.’

‘How perfect Allaah is, all praise is for Allaah, and Allaah is the greatest.’(thirty-three times)
